We were just informed of the first (and hopefully last) major bug in Breath of Death VII. In the first cave of Undeath Mountain (the cave you go to after getting your fourth party member), there’s a very small chance that getting into a battle will crash the game. The reason why no one discovered this beforehand is because that cave is very short and you generally only get into 2-4 battles in it before finishing the cave so none of our playtesters ran into it.
The bug has already been fixed in the code and we’ll submit the new version to the XBox Live Marketplace ASAP. Thank you for your patience while we take care of this problem.

Thanks for letting us know about the random encounters not being turned off Score Attack bug. I’ll be sure to fix it before submitting the new version.
I’m going to have to email our composers with some of these comments since people have been positive about the music.
And there are no hidden mode beyond Score Attack mode.
If anyone is worried they’ll run into this bug before the patch comes out next week, here is a map of the fastest route through this section of the dungeon so that you can get through it before you encounter a crash. The link is here:

Speaking of stuff, what/where is the best place to comment on this game? There isn’t a board for it on the xbox.com site.
In Score Attack mode, I noticed that there’s a few sections where random encounters are still implemented (Sewers, Prison and Library in prince Erik’s castle). Since random encounters are supposed to be turned off completely in Score Attack, I imagine this is a bug rather than by-design?
Also, In the mode select menu, I noticed that there’s an extra space beneath ‘Score Attack’. Is there an additional unlockable mode there?
Great game though, and I love the soundtrack. Hope you make more in the Breath of Death series in the future.
Thanks for letting us know about the stun bug. It’s a rare bug (only can happen on the last turn plus very few enemies have stun) and not a huge issue (solves itself after a turn), but it’s still best to fix every mistake we find. Luckily, it’s an easy fix (just a matter of adding a stun reset at the end of battles). The fix will be included in the next version.
I noticed a bug involving being stunned. If stunned on last round of combat, it will carry over to the next fight, leaving you stunned the first round of the next fight.
New versions of the game will not have any problems with your existing save files. You don’t need to worry about deleting or redownloading the game – when the new version goes up, the game will automatically prompt you to download the new version the next time you play it.
As for timing, due to the rules in place for XBox Live Indie Games, it will probably be a week or two before the new version goes up. We’d put it up faster if it was up to us, but it’s not (we can’t submit it until 7 days after the game originally went up and then we have to wait for the new version to be approved which could take a few days).
should I delete and redownload the game? Will it affect save files at all?
