Our games are pretty much done and ready for release on the PC except for one thing – I can’t seem to figure out how to get them working or installing properly with Steam. I’ve read the tutorials, asked questions of Steam staff, but I’ve hit a brick wall of frustration and failure.
I’ve created a shared folder on Dropbox that contains the code for Breath of Death VII along with some of the Zeboyd/BoDVII Steam files. If you’re a developer who has gotten an XNA game working on Steam and are willing to help me figure out what I’m doing wrong, please send me (Robert Boyd) an email at rdespair at gmail dot com and I’ll give you access to the folder. I would be eternally grateful – I’m going out of my mind trying to get these games to work ASAP so that we can start a steady stream of income to support our families and so that we can focus on our next game (which is very exciting).
Oh and note, I’m not trying to do anything fancy at this point like adding Steamworks features – I’m just trying to get our games so that they will properly install and run on Steam.
Team Meat created their own toolset for developing Super Meat Boy.
@anon: XNA isn’t required for XBLA games…
I wonder how they got SMB on running on XBLA without XNA?

Actually, I emailed Team Meat and they said that SMB wasn’t made with XNA. Good suggestion though.
Might want to get in contact with Geoff (sandswept.net), he left a comment on my blog post about getting his game up on Steam: http://codecube.net/2010/02/steam-and-xna-redux/#comments
Hey Robert – send me a email, I’ll try to help however I can
I remember I had a few problems with Capsized, so I think I might be able to help (we ended up using Achievements / stats, not cloud saving)
Wish that there was more I could do to help, but I’m a bumbling beginner at coding. Hope someone replies soon, or that the answer comes to you.
Why don’t you ask Team Meat? They seem like fairly cool guys.
