About
Robert (AKA Rainbow Despair, AKA R. W. Boyd, AKA Borthog the Destroyer) spends most of his time playing video games and discussing video games. When he is not doing either of those things he is thinking about playing and discussing video games. Oh and he designs, programs, and writes the stories for games too.
Bill Stiernberg (AKA slash000, the Patient, Patient Man) has been a gamer most of his life. As an artist, there are few things that brings him more joy than producing artwork, animation, and levels for videogames. He enjoys almost every game genre, and his favorite games include Super Mario Bros., Super Metroid, Chrono Trigger, Street Fighter IV, and Quake 3. When he’s not playing or making games, he spends some of his time practicing as an attorney at law.

can i just say that i love cthulhu saves the world the humor and references, easter eggs, and all sorts of little knotches remindes me of a final fantasy with the humor of earthbound thank you so much for the great experiace at a low low price also “shirts can not contain the awsomeness that is CTHULHU”!!!!
If you guys keep making awesome and funny RPGs I’ll keep buying them.
Just installed CStW, but the sound is all wonky.
I either get sound during a battle or I get sound outside in a dungeon, but never both consecutively, unless it is randomly switching between the two. By that I mean if I do get battle music and dungeon music, the next battle will not have music.
Is it a bug? What can I do to fix it?
There have been countless installation errors throughout this whole process, from trying to install Steam, now trying to get CSTW to start. I’ve tried installing ms .net framework which also has a fatal error during installation. Now I am trying to fix that. I’ve been trying to play CSTW for 2 days and I’m about to give up. Is there a way to get it on a CD or something that doesn’t require Steam, PS3, or Xbox 360?
I haven’t been this excited about a game in a long time, but all the hassles are too much.
Hi Guys
Just wanted to say how much I enjoyed ‘Cthulhu saves the world’ it’s a cracking old school RPG, and by far the best game I’ve played on my xbox 360! So I’d just like to say that you’re awesome!!
Matt
Are the system requirements for Cthulhu or Breath of Death posted anywhere?
The Cthulhu threads in the forums are full of posts about crashes, hangs, & error messages. Lots of comments about graphics card specs, but I can’t find the actual requirements for the game anywhere.
I picked up the Breath of Death VII on Steam. Playing it through Hard mode on the first play-through, and for whatever reason, SARA always regenerates her MP to max after every battle. Don’t know where else I can report this issue.
Just bought the game off steam and I’m having trouble with the game reading my logitech controller. I’ve read people got it t work with 360 controllers on PCs is it just those or am I missing something?
Great job on your two games! Keep up the good work and can not wate for your next game

BOD is what ive been missing for the last 10 years. the new rpg’s suck more whatching than playing. i love the old school rpg nothing can beat all of them. like final fantacy for the nes and the snes damn what happend to the good old days.
Wanted to say great job with BOD:7, its also a great value, I would have happily paid $5 bucks for that game. I eagerly await Cthulhu Saves the World and can’t wait to see what you have in store for us in the future.
The Phantasy Star titles were always my favorite of the old school series, and although BOD is closer in style to Dragon Warrior, it is nice to play that style of RPG again. Maybe a couple games down the line you could work in the Grandia or Chrono Trigger style combat system or maybe even a Warsong style strategy/rpg game. I’d pay for that! Heck I’d pay for someone to pretty up the resolution on those old games and sell them to me as-is.
Well, keep up on the good work!
I liked BOD vii, and can’t wait for Cthulhu Saves The World. The only thing that bothered me about Breath of Death is the humor. RPG parodies have been done to death and references can only go so far. I just would like to see some new jokes. Either way, I enjoyed Breath of Death, loved the battle system, and plan to download CSTW when that comes out!
Breath of Death VII is awesome. And for those who wrote the Mass Effect joke in Chapter 3, you sneaky bastiches…
I just purchased BD7 and I love it. I was hoping to find a jpeg of the entire world map on the net. I liked getting those fold out maps with the old games and plastering them on my wall.
Thank you
Hey – we just videoreviewed your game – http://indienerds.com/wordpress/?p=256. Have a look.
Looks like lots of publicity is going around for your game it’s now talked about on Yahoo!. Here’s the link if your interested to check it out. http://videogames.yahoo.com/events/plugged-in/great-games-for-under-a-buck/1401140
Can I just say I loved BoD:VII? I’m going to go back and buy your other two games now; tragically, I missed them prior to now.
Basically, thank you.
Excellent! I love this game, got it on Xbox Live Indie for the dollar, would have paid more on Arcade, it deserves it
It brings me back to my childhood
Thanks for all your hard work.
