Lots of new exciting kickstarters this week!

First up, we have a new kickstarter from the creators of the Quest for Glory series. It’s called Hero-U: Rogue to Redemption and no, it’s not for the WiiU. It’s an RPG for the PC & Mac that looks like it’ll share Quest for Glory’s sense of humor. They’re up $127k and they need to reach $400k in the next 25 days.

Next, we have a kickstarter for a remake of the classic point & click adventure game, Shadowgate. The remake will feature new rooms and new puzzles as well as drastically improved visuals, user interface, and music (with an option to play the original 8-bit soundtrack). It’s up to $8k of its $120k goal with 30 days left to go.

FORCED is a 4-player co-op Action/RPG battle arena game or “Diablo meets Left 4 Dead” as the creators call it. It sounds reminiscent of the Last Stand mode in the Dawn of War series to me. It looks like they’ve got most of the game done and they just need to polish things up now. They’re up to $10k of their $40k goal (35 days left).

And finally, let’s finish off by talking about MaK. MaK appears to be a cross between Super Mario Galaxy and Minecraft with a dash of Half-Life for good measure. Gravity-based planetoid exploration plus the ability to build structures and machines with a powerful physics engine, all displayed with gorgeous graphics. They’re up to $12k of their their $230k goal (24 days left) – hopefully this kickstarter gains momentum because what they have so far looks very impressive.
