Hello again, this week I did 2 requests.
Robert requested that I draw Raquel Applegate from Wild Arms. It was fun! She’s got a lot of detail and there’s not a lot of fan art of this character out there, so I enjoyed doing it.
Raquel is a tragic heroine, afflicted with a serious and incurable disease since she was a child. She is one of the few survivors of the disaster that annihilated her hometown. Since then, she’s embarked on a mission to live life to the fullest and see as much beauty in the world as she can.
It was quite fun doing this pic, but wow, all those belts and clasps.
We gave Paws his name was based on RPGamer staffer Anna Marie Neufeld’s avatar. PAWS!
Incidentally, she requested I draw this for today’s Weekly Art. I drew him kinda cartooney because I thought it’d be cute and/or funny. One day I will do a fanart of Paws that I really like, I feel like this one turned out okay.
I’d appreciate seeing a rendition of “Jim” from Penny Arcade Adventures doing something awesome. I like the character, but it is hard to imagine the brain in jar have much adjacency, and a picture would really help.
I’d also love to see a rendition of the hero from Shadow of the Colossus. It is my all-time favorite game, and I can never get enough of good art on it. I love the tragic nature of the character.
I like how she died at the end of the game. That game’s spoilers should tag characters that didn’t die. I think Jude, Yulie, and Arneaux were it. I liked the guy with the shamshirs. Tragically, he also died.
Ah… Wild Arms. Don’t get me started on it man. I adore the Wild Arms series. Its like, while I’d love for there to be more of them, Wild Arms 5 was such a ride, with almost every main character appearing somewhere, that I’m actually happy to leave the series on such a high note. Also Johnny Appleseed jumped from a mech in the air, landed, and punched away a missile, while screaming his name.
The series is also the only series I’ve actually purchased music CDs for. I adore it soo much. So much!
So.. yeah. Approve of your art choice and the request.
