You can get Cthulhu Saves the World for the iPhone/iPad here.

Hopefully Apple will fixed the misspelled title (Cthulu) soon.

If you have any questions about the iPhone, iPad, Mac, or Android versions of the game, please contact Tinkerhouse Games. Since they’re responsible for the ports, they’re the most knowledgeable people about these versions.

  1. I may just be being stupid here, but I can’t find a version that can be played on the Mac computer itself. All of the ones I’m finding need to be played on a device and all of the reviews seem to bitch about touchscreen issues. And while making the game device exclusive wouldn’t be the DUMBEST design choice I’ve seen, that’s mostly because I’ve seen Daikatana in action.

  2. Controls are odd, but everything that wants a d-pad will be odd on a touchscreen. Between intangible d-pad and what’s in CStW for iPad, I think the current scheme is better. At least I *know* which direction I’m moving my thumb without having to look at that corner of the screen.

I gladly paid for it, and am enjoying it.

Any word on Breath of Death VII making its way to iPad, too?

  3. Bought this for the 3rd time. I owned it on Xbox, and loved it. Bought it on steam as well just because it’s a great game and I want to support the cause. Fight the good fight and all that. When i saw it on iOS I was really excited because for my lifestyle right now having it on the go on my iPad would be amazing. I must admit I am really disappointed with the controls. It’s just… hard to play. Navigating the over world is a pain. I’ve put about 2 hours into it and I still have trouble moving Cthulu around. I really wish the menu system worked better as well. I would love to be able to touch what spell I want to cast. Instead I have to drag my fingers up and down the sides trying to get the cursor to land on the spell I want. Zeboyd is amazing, loving the new Penny Arcade game on PC. Anyone that played the iOS version of this should have been able to tell the controls were pretty poor and fixed them. I hope if Robert has any of his other software ported to iOS (and I hope he does) he will be more involved in making sure the port is quality.

  4. Been digging into the iPad version for the last hour or so. Runs great, looks great, controls really oddly. The company that ported it went with touch controls instead of a virtual dpad. I find movement awkward to say the least. That also seems to be a fairly common concern with the user reviews on the game’s app store page. I certainly don’t think it is bad enough to justify not purchasing the iOS version, but I do think it is best to be aware of going in. Still, crazy value at 1.99.

  5. Same question as the majority here: when will the Android version be released? Searched the play store several times yesterday, all sites reported it will be released on June 28th…

  6. Same question as Geoff, will we be seeing an Android version? I would definitely buy it again just for that!

  7. Is it bad that after seeing this on the iOS app store I felt it was necessary to come here to verify it was a legit port? Now I just have to decide if I want to buy this for the fourth time (Xbox, pc, second copy of pc free with Precipice…..)

  8. Would love to see that Android Version! Can’t wait to play on a Tablet! Any ETA – I heard later today but I think that was just for iOS. Already bought for my iPod by the way.

  9. Yeah the android port is supposed to be released today as well. Can’t wait to buy it.

  10. Any news on when the Android version is arriving on the Play Store? I already own this on Steam, I want to play it on my phone, too!

  11. You should get someone to port it to pspminis, or 3ds. I would definitley buy it on pspminis.
