The new version of Breath of Death VII is up! The system should automatically prompt you to download the update next time you try to play the game.

This new version doesn’t add any new features, it just fixes some bugs that were discovered after the game went up. Oh and saves from the previous version should work fine with the new version.

  1. I absolutely love Breath of Death VII, and am quite looking forward to Cthulhu Saves the World.

That said, I found an odd bug in BoDVII which amuses me greatly. The beachhead south of the final dungeon allows you to fight sandworms (which is level-appropriate), but if you go to the tip of the peninsula, you fight rats from the initial area. The really interesting part is if you get into a random battle on the third or fourth row (with the bottom of the peninsula being the first row), you get into a fight with nothing that restores 6 MP.

It’s probably a little bit late to go releasing a bug fix for this, and you’re working on other things right now, but I wanted to point it out anyways.

Thank you for releasing such a quality game; I look forward to your future releases.

  2. Actually, the chest that you can’t reach in the jail is still there, but a text message if you press A on the cell door has been added.

There were also some more obscure bugs that have been fixed like the random encounters not being turned off in a couple places in score attack mode.

  3. There were only a few semi-obscure bits that needed fixing with this version. There was a sleep spell and a certain encounter in a Mountain dungeon that caused crashing; both of these issues were fixed. There was a spell description in need of fixing. There were a few spelling errors. And that inaccessible treasure chest in the jail cell was erroneously placed (and is now removed) since you could not access it.

  4. Good luck with sales on this. I think you should consider putting a thread on this game in the “Video Game Deals” section of CAG (Cheap A** Gamer) where a lot of people will probably see it.
