Penny Arcade’s On the Rain-Slick Precipice of Darkness 3 is now scheduled to come out on June 25th. It was originally planned for a July release but we figured – the game is done so why wait that long? Also, everyone who buys the game on Steam in the first week will get a free copy of our previous game on Steam, Cthulhu Saves the World.

Only 12 days left! I can’t wait!

  1. The game should go up at around 10 am Pacific time (so about 45 minutes from the time I wrote this post).

  2. There doesn’t seem to be any news on the RSPOD ep3 release today anywhere. No confirmation either way. It’s definitely not on Steam. Shame.

  3. This looks like it will be my new favorite game, full of tons of things I love! However, I can’t play it until it hits Apple’s App Store… Any rough idea yet when the iOS version will be gracing our phones?

  4. Glad this is finally coming out, only sad point is it’s XBLIG which means no Australia 🙁
There’s always steam i guess. Keep up the good work.

  5. Looking forward to it! Will buy on Steam.

I assume no WP7 version is more due to a lack of commercial viability than technical reasons? Or a bit of both?

  6. I’m a bit disappointed that steam is not showing it on the upcoming list. I want to froth, awaiting its release.

  7. Trying to do a Multi-Platform bundle would be extremely difficult because the various platforms are owned by different companies.

As for re-giftable Cthulhu Saves the World, we’re pushing for it, but ultimately that’s Steam’s decision.

  8. If it’s done, release it now! The wait has been so long, and now that it’s this close to coming out… it’s become torture, Zeboyd!!

  9. WhooooWhoooO! That’s great! But if you got nothing to do on the game itself, why not thinking about some ‘improvements’ of the overall game-experience?
I would love to have a bundle avaiable for multiple platforms. I love playing BoD, CstW and soon the new Penny arcade on my PC. I’m looking forward to love playing it on my phone and I’m looking forward to love playing it on my iPhone. But I also would LOVE to have an option to buy the game for all platforms at once.

Since the games will support multiple platforms… how about a feature to exchange the savegames between the devices? I could start playing in the morning on my PC, continue playing on my Tablet during the train-ride to work and secretely do a few level-ups under the table with the smartphone.

    …just my two cents…

Please make the free copy of Cthulhu saves the world giftable to a friend! I already own your games but failed to make my friends go crazy about it since they never played it.

  10. Hey, I’m really glad you guys are continuing the legacy of the penny arcade adventures. I loved the first two, and having played some Breath of Death VII and some of the text adventures, I’m glad the third one is in your hands.

  11. Me and you both. Really get hyped when your games come out. I am looking forward to the day you all add 4 or 5 more people to your crew and try more elaborate games, should the day ever come, just because I think you will keep making the kind of games I miss nowadays. Just got a Nintendo DSi XL 2 weeks ago entirely because all my kinds of games migrated in that direction. Just a shame the games don’t carry the oomph the big screen t.v. offers though.

Oh, and consider this one bought on release day on xbox live by me.
