  1. Hello!!! i`ve waiting for this game many months!!!, for the moment it isn`t in Xbox indie games yet 🙁 ,…i`m anxious for play it!!, i`ll continue waiting :-), thanks for do these great games!!! greetings!! you are the best!

  2. Since I don’t have a twitter account I just wanted to leave a comment here. I haven’t gotten that far yet, but the game’s great! I wasn’t sure if I was going to like having pets as fighters but it’s actually super fun and a great way to let me play around with different fighters without having to switch between my favourite “story characters”. I’m just wondering why you chose this system instead of continuing with the job system? Was it just a fun idea you chose to run with or did you just feel like the job systems would get boring two games in a row? Either way it’s a great success and I can’t wait to see what you do with your next game.

    Cheers!

  3. Eff those 3 assistant editors. To anyone on the fence, get this game, it is amazing. The game doesn’t punish you for levelling up? There’s just no ability to grind.

  4. Ok Bob n’ Bill… Back again… Well, waited for two days hoping the peers would have a “lite” weekend, and return to work asap… I’m guessing this is not the case since PA 4 still hasn’t made it to the XBLA (indie) marketplace yet… *sigh* 🙁 I will rant about this “conundrum” I’ve encountered while surfing the XBOX.com site… Now, to me the Zeboyd RPG(s) are good pieces of work from two very talented game designers… With that said, I can’t believe the (insanely) high rated indie games that trump Zeboyd’s BoD 7(Breath of Death VII) and CStW(Cthulhu saves the world), which is utter “madness” in my opinion… I will not release the names of these games, (doesn’t seem fair; no one from the dev team(s) to argue with) but I will say this: It seems to me that even if your indie game is “horrible”, if you have enough “friends” in the “right places”, You can achieve an extremely high rating even though the game does not merit the high appraisal… Which angers me because your average consumer usually goes with what “pop cultural” deems as “awesome”, and in these cases, these games are far from being “awesome”… I’m sick of grade school kids making crappy games and their “legion of FB(facebook) followers” supporting the “crap” they produce… Literally. Again sorry if this rant is off topic, but a “great” game is still in shackles while “crappy ones” get approved for the marketplace within hours… I’m finding it very difficult to understand the logic behind some of these “peer dev(s)” way of processing information (or lack of)…

PS I’m taking these shots for you guys… Deep down I know you guys (at Zeboyd) agree with the rant… I’ll say what you really want to say, but can’t because of “political correctness”… I can be that guy for you… I don’t mind calling a “turd” a “turd” 😉

    BLKMSK CEO out.

  5. @pafan
Being an XBLIG title, Rain-Slick 4 needs to successfully pass Peer Review before it can be available on the Marketplace.
If you’re concerned, give it a “Pass”, or whatever it’s called, in Peer Review if you can, or tell some friends to do the same.

  6. I’m not quite sure where to post this, but this seems like as good a place as any. Rain Slick 4 is suffering from a bug that was also in Rain Slick 3. I use a GameStop 360 controller I’ve plugged in via one of the USB ports, and while the game plays fine with it, it doesn’t seem to register input properly, causing the screen to go into sleep mode every twenty minutes or so (whatever the timer is). This does not happen with any other game I play with the 360 controller.

Is this fixable, or should I maybe try to find some kind of script to move the mouse in the background while playing the game?

  7. Having a blast so far, laughed out loud when I saw the Fish Force and heard the music. You guys are awesome.

  8. Dunno if this is really the best place to leave this comment, but found a bug in the Rasp Wurm battle, Philosofly’s “Let’s Positive Thinking” works even though the battle isn’t supposed to have healing abilities or items work.

  9. Okay, I don’t know if this is the right place for it, but I found a bug in Rain-Slick 4.

It is not a game breaking bug.

In fact, it’s kind of cool, and I don’t know if you should fix it at all.

When I’m riding the living train, there are all these train sound effects playing in the background, right? Well, if I press START on my controller, and then opt to exit the game, the title screen comes up, along with the regular title screen music, but here’s the thing: the train sound effects are still playing ON THE TITLE SCREEN. I can go into the save menu and stuff and it still sounds like I’m riding a train. It’s kind of cool, really, but I thought you’d like to know about it.

I’m playing the game on Steam, by the way.

  10. Ok… I don’t mean to sound…. Condescending might be a bad word but whatev…. But I have to ask, is the XBLA version dropping today as well or…. No?!? I guess the peer reviews are still being delegated…. Too bad… Was so looking forward to playing the game on my XBOX but alas… On a side note… Totally off the radar here but: I got an “error” message while attempting to save my game (Cthulhu Saves the World) and the window pop up said that if the problem continues, I should contact the dev(s) so that’s why I’m explaining this… It happened first when I initially started the game (just right after I downloaded the game from the XBLA indie market) and attempted to abort to the title screen… Instead I got an error window. So it has happened twice so far… Not sure if it will happen again, but my fingers are crossed… And about the PA 4 and XBOX, I get it…. Bureaucratic… Shinanigins for a “lite way of putting it”… Still, it would have been nice to enjoy the game on my one day off 🙁

  11. Oh look.

A mechanic that punishes you for leveling up.

Well, looks like I’m going to wait until more information on the characters / monsters in this game is out so I can actually play it.

    Yay.
