We’re still working on polishing up the kickstarter page but hope to have it ready to submit soon.

  1. Looks good, and I plan on contributing. Does DRM-free PC/Mac imply a digital download? I ask as the internet is not too good in my area, so that would be preferable to Steam, and I don’t know if I’m getting a PS4/PSVita or not.

  2. I have never donated to a kickstarter before, but I think I will contribute to yours.

Also: how dare you spend so much time thinking out and planning your kickstarter? Don’t you know that you’re supposed to just rush into it without considering the consequences? And your reward tiers are too practical. Rewards should be wild, poorly planned, and impossible for you, the developer, to fulfill. And where the *bleep* are your illogically optimistic stretch goals? Honestly, it’s like you’ve never seen a video game kickstarter campaign before.

  3. I guess I’ll have to decide if I want a T-shirt or not.

PayPal does have a competitor in WePay. I never heard of it before the Precinct campaign. They would probably more receptive if the potential of PayPal deciding to hold back funds outweighs that of people not wanting to sign up for a new service. It would probably take the efforts a bunch of higher profile crowdfunders to get enough people to sign up there as well.

Precinct got some blowback at first because of it before switching to PayPal. Of course, the stories of PayPal holding back money weren’t really out yet at the time.

I’m just going to keep it simple and use Kickstarter/Amazon..

  4. Looks good. I won’t personally be participating, but I wish you good luck and much money.

As for the reason I am posting, just in case you don’t know and are going to offer a chance to pay through paypal, might want to read this if you don’t already know

I am a fan of your games, its just that you are heading in a direction of consoles I don’t plan on owning for years as the Wii U is my next console, with a ps4 in 2 years or so. Breath of Death 7 and Cthulhu are games I thoroughly enjoy, and I have already bought your Penny Arcade games….just haven’t played them yet as I want to play the entire series and I got burnt out while playing part 2.

    Have a good night =)

  5. Nice rewards! After running a kickstarter with a $1 reward tier I would recommend against it. The number of people that do it are negligible since it is only $1 and I believe that less tiers is better. Looking forward to seeing the rest of your kickstarter!

  6. Ahaha! Man, to only have a spare $200! Alas!

Nice rewards. We’ll have to see its end date to see how I splash into it. I know what I want but i also know my wallet. Argh. Well I don’t think you’re going to get many dissapointed people with this. I am surprised how many physical releases there are. I know you’ve spent a long time planning this and know it but… Beware shipping prices changing over time. Bewaaaare! So many indie projects get done in by these! I’ve seen indie projects raised to pay for previous shipping! Its maddness.
